Mountain Mommas is a well appointed home aiming to make vacations easier especially for those traveling with littles! There are many family features such as a dual tv/playroom space, baby gates, a minicrib and a baby monitor. We love dogs and a dual large crate side table is onsite. The space

Mountain Mommas is an Industrial Modern stylized Lake-Mountain Chalet that also maintains ample comforts. It is set up to truly feel like home with many books, kids toys, and multiple gathering areas. It is truly set up to be able to pack your bags and settle right in with extensive baby and family items supplied. Enjoy time outside at our fire pit, make a fresh pizza in our outdoor pizza oven, or venture around the neighborhood on a quest to find all the amenities including multiple lake beaches! There is even a whole home generator installed so that in the unlikely event a storm knocks out neighborhood power guests will not be impacted. The generator “exercises” on a schedule at 11am on Mondays for approximately 20 minutes, guests will not be impacted in any way but may hear it running.

Guest access

Guests may access all portions of the home and property except 1 turnover closet which is locked and located in the lower level tv room, 1 owners closet which is locked and located in the upstairs hallway, the owners shed which is locked outdoors on the right side of the home, the crawl space, and the attic.

We promise there’s nothing too exciting in any of them! Breaking the locks and taking items from these areas will be considered theft and forfeit security deposit in its entirety.

Additional notes

We always recommend travel insurance to all guests, both when traveling to our home and other locations! Travelinsurance is a website that lets you compare pricing and coverage from multiple companies to select what works best for you should you decide to purchase travel insurance protections for your trip.

Our street is nice and quiet and ideally located close to the lake and many amenities!

Our neighbors on either side, and directly across the street are all long standing full-timers, meaning they live in the neighborhood as their primary residence. We ask that you just please respect their right to peaceful enjoyment in their own homes! They have been so kind to us and keep an eye on our home while it’s empty and when storms pass. They are good people and we want both our guests and neighbors to continue loving the neighborhood!!

Fishing licenses for those age 16+ wanting to fish may be purchased online at https://huntfish.pa.gov

We pride ourselves in being accesible and as helpful as possible to guests. Between us and our property services assistants who live locally it’s easy to assist with needs and we’d love to hear about your reason for traveling to our area and what you are hoping for.

Neighborhood overview

Our home is a super easy walk to the closest amenity area (Beach 2) off Lakeshore Drive! This includes a lake beach, picnic area, a dock with fishing area, a playground and a basketball court along with restrooms.

We are 1 mile from both the Minisink and Island heated outdoor pool facilities.

Our lodge hosts a fitness facility, library, common room, and billiards room among other things.

The lower level of the welcome center has a game room.

Temp membership grants you full access to all amenities around the neighborhood including all beaches at both lakes and also ensures adequate security staffing.

Rental Fees effective August 1, 2022
Temporary membership fees are mandatory and are assessed to all renters age 12+
* In Season/Summer Season (May 15 - Sept. 15): $8 per person per day, $40 a week, $100 per month (1-6 months)
* Off Season/Winter Season (Sept 16 - May 14): $5 per person per day (effective Aug. 1)
* Annual: $240 (6-12 month lease required)
* Vehicle Gate Card Fee: $15 per vehicle (effective Aug. 1)
* Transaction Fee: $20
* $10 for registration and payment made 5 or more days prior to arrival.
* Late Processing Fee: $25 for payment received less than 3 days prior to arrival.

Renters will be denied access to the Community if registration and payment is not received prior to arrival.

After booking with us you will get an email with the needed information to submit to Arrowhead, you will then get an email from Arrowhead confirming you are registered and allowing you to pay the neighborhood fees.

Getting around

Many neighborhood amenities are an easy walk. There are also parking lots at each. The Poconos offers many great options to visit by car to include Claws N Paws wild animal park, skiing at multiple resorts (Jack Frost being closest), river rafting, horseback riding, paintball, golf, hiking, scenic train rides, minigolf, outlet mall shopping, the historic town of Jim Thorpe, water parks and more!

House Rules

**At least one guest staying must be age 25+**

The house is on septic please place all food waste and items other than TP into trash cans

Please only park on the gravel driveway, the septic drainage field in the yard may be damaged by the weight of a vehicle on it.

We love our animal friends but don’t want wildlife on the property please keep all trash especially food waste inside until you drive it to the trash center located near the welcome center where you check in.

No smoking or vaping inside please! Please limit to outdoor areas and dispose of cigarette butts appropriately after completely snuffing out to prevent fires.

This community is a mixed community of full time homeowners, part timers and rental homes. As such please observe quiet time at 10pm and be respectful of others right to peaceful enjoyment

The neighborhood is gated and staffed with security 24/7

NO FIREWORKS- $500 fine issued by neighborhood security due to firework usage. Renter responsible for paying this fine.

Observe speed limit signs the highest speed is 25mph. You will be ticketed and expected to pay if you speed or commit other safety infractions.
